Social Work & Clinical Supervision That Supports You, Not Just Your Role
Without support, you risk compassion fatigue, lost direction, or even stepping away from the work you love.
Reflective, trauma-informed supervision for social workers and helping professionals doing complex, human work.
Support That Meets You Where You Are?
Supervision That Helps You Think, Breathe, and Keep Showing Up
You’re committed to this work but it can take its toll.
You hold space for people navigating trauma and watch the emotional load build.
You juggle ethical dilemmas, team pressures, and systemic complexity (often without a moment to pause!!)
You crave clarity, but sometimes feel isolated or stuck in your next step.
You don’t have to manage it all alone. Reflective supervision with me is practical, grounded, and values-driven. It’s a space to debrief, think clearly, stay accountable to your purpose, and figure things out without judgement.

Who is this for?
This space is for you if:
You're newer to the field and want a reflective space to build confidence
You're experienced, but feeling isolated, overwhelmed, or questioning your next step
You're not getting meaningful supervision in your current role
You're in private practice and need a regular sounding board
You’re sitting with trauma-exposed work and feeling the emotional load
You want a supervisor who’s honest, thoughtful, and not afraid to talk systems
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from supervision. You just need a space that’s real, reflective, for your clients, and for you.
Why Reflective, Trauma-Informed Supervision Matters
It’s Not Just About Work. It’s About What the Work Does to You
Working with people who’ve experienced trauma isn’t just challenging- it’s layered, emotional, and often shaped by systems that don’t make sense.
Whether you’re in child protection, casework, youth work, or mental health, the work can be rewarding and exhausting. And if no one’s giving you space to process it, that load builds fast.
That’s where reflective, trauma-informed supervision comes in. This isn’t just a professional requirement- it’s a circuit breaker. A pause button. A place to unpack what’s sitting heavy and make sense of what’s next.
With the right support, you can:
Debrief complex cases and untangle ethical dilemmas
Name what’s yours to carry and what belongs to the system
Regulate after tough sessions, so the work doesn’t live in your body
Reflect on your impact and direction
Reconnect with your values (without a self-care checklist in sight)
This isn’t performance management. It’s a political, reflective, supportive space and it’s long overdue.
Why Me?
18+ Years in the Sector. Still Learning. Always Listening.
I’m Liz Andrew-Brake (she/her), an AASW-accredited social worker, supervisor, facilitator and consultant. I’ve worked across child protection, NGO services, frontline roles, leadership, and private practice in Australia, Aotearoa NZ, and the UK.
I’ve led teams through crisis, held complexity that lingered long after the session ended, and hit points of burnout I didn’t see coming. I know what it feels like to care deeply and to carry too much. Supervision changed how I stayed in this work. It’s why I do this now.
I bring curiosity, honesty, humour, and political awareness to my sessions. If we need to talk about capitalism, colonisation or the patriarchy, we will. If you need to breathe, cry, vent, or plan- you can do that here.
How does it work?
Supervision should feel like a checkpoint, not another item on your to-do list.
